Full-day Workshop with Visiting Professional Woodturner Emily Ford
Join us for a full-day, hands-on workshop with professional woodturner Emily Ford, better known as @SheTurnsWood. Delivering a lively, fun, relatable, and informative demonstration, she will take us through a progression of projects from a simple vase that requires a careful eye to more technical turnings like captive ring rattles and delicate hollowed ornaments that demand quality cuts, elegant proportions, and many other considerations that will develop your woodturning skills whether novice or experienced.
In addition to completing these exciting projects, the workshop will focus on:
Proper tool selection, tool control, and sharpening techniques to enhance your skillset and achieve better results.
Various chucking methods will also be explored to help students, new and seasoned, discover different ways to mount and finish various projects.
Guidance on safe and effective woodturning practices for all skill levels.
Personalized instruction to ensure you’re comfortable with the tools and techniques.
An open Q&A environment—come with your questions and leave with confidence.
