This month, most of my time has been devoted to working on the club’s new sample website. I managed to avoid dealing with website development during my professional IT endeavors, but I am now learning how to do this (at least it is now much easier with the tools available as coding is only really necessary for customization beyond what is available via the user interface)

November Demo: Texturing Techniques by Michael Mocho Nov. 1st

Come learn how to use both commercial and shop-made tools to easily add a variety of interesting patterns, textures, and “low tech” ornamental detail to your work. Michael will demonstrate the application of chatter work, embossing, indexed fluting and reeding, and the use of the versatile (and often tricky) Sorby spiral and texturing tool. Detailed descriptions for all the variables effecting use of each tool will be demonstrated.
