JCH Turning Event: Lathe Maintenance and Safety

For the March monthly “informal hands-on” at JCH, we’ll jump the gun! This will be Saturday February 28, 2026 (close enough to March) at JCH (4210 Hawkins NE), usual time (setup at 9:00 AM, official start at 10:00 AM).

We will use the six club demonstration lathes and accessories kits. We will show you basic adjustments and maintenance on the Laguna 1216—but the principles should be the same regardless of your lathe. We will also go through the accessories for the lathe, and discuss the use and maintenance of the accessories (you didn’t know that your drive center needs maintenance? Well, it does!).

If you have basic hand tools, including socket sets and/or wrenches, bring them.
